Celebrate National Library Week with us! Every day is cause for a different celebration! Monday is Patron Appreciation Day! We’re showing our appreciation by giving all our patrons a goodie bag *while supplies last*, balloons and I love to Read backpacks for kids *while supplies last*!
We’re also giving away books to the person who can guess just how many books we’ve stuffed into a large glass jar! You win the glass jar PLUS MORE BOOKS! This contest runs all week long!
Tuesday is National Library Workers Day! Don’t be afraid to tell us who your favorite worker is! We promise we won’t tell the others!
It’s also time for our Smart Cookie Trivia Challenge! We host the Smart Cookie Challenge every year during National Library Week. If your team wins, you receive the Smart Cookie Trophy! The Smart Cookie Champions borrow the trophy during their reign and then return it to the library for the next year’s competition! Get your team of 2-5 people together and decide on a team name and see if your group will be the champions! Registration is required! Click here to register your team now!
Wednesday is National Library Outreach/Bookmobile Day! If you see Ms. Michelle out with the Bookmobile make sure to give her a big wave!
Thursday is Take Action for Libraries Day, a day to rally advocates to support libraries. One way you can support your library is by becoming a member of our Friends of the Library group! If you are interested or want more information on the Friends group, stop by the library Thursday, April 8th between 10am and 1pm! Ms. Rose will be here to recruit members and answer all your questions you might have about the Friends of the Library group!
Friday, the celebration continues! If you need a date night plan, we’ve got you covered! Call us at 270-259-5455 to set up a “tee time” for “Unwine & Nine.” Couples will enjoy sipping nonalcoholic cider while putting 9 holes of mini golf through the library!
Saturday! Join us at 10am for Drive-In BINGO! Park your car and tune your radio in to play BINGO and win BOOKS! Go home, take a rest, and have lunch then come back to the library to join us for “Putt Putt Fore Books.” Groups of 2-6 will have a “Hole” lot of fun playing nine holes of mini golf through the library. After you finish the last hole each participant will be allowed to choose one gently used book! Call us at 270-259-5455 to set up your “Tee Time.”
